Dr Alec Laraway works full time as co-director of North West Neuropsychology Ltd. He is an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist and Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist, and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. He has over 15 years’ experience working both within the NHS and in private practice.
During his NHS career, Dr Laraway worked in inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, including as Head of Neuropsychology in a regional neuro-rehabilitation unit. He is now in full-time independent practice, providing community and clinic-based neuropsychological assessments and rehabilitation.
Dr Laraway provides person-centred neuropsychological assessment and intervention including:
- ABI rehabilitation with multi-disciplinary teams
- Neuropsychological assessments for dementia and other neuro-degenerative conditions
- Medico-Legal/Expert Witness assessments
- Mental Capacity assessments
- Supervision
- Training
North West Neuropsychology Ltd. is based in Blackburn, Lancashire, but provide services across the north-west region of the UK, covering Greater Manchester, Lancashire and South Cumbria.
Clients can be seen in our consulting rooms in Blackburn, or appointments can also be arranged at the client’s home.
Clients include those referred by Case Managers, Solicitors, colleagues and other agencies. The service also accepts self-referrals and Dr Laraway will be happy to discuss any query about possible neuropsychology input.
